Vice President Africa
Gavin Kiggen is a highly experienced industry professional with over 32 years of experience in all facets of Aviation.
After completing his Military Service, Gavin started his aviation career at South African Airways in 1989 where he studied as an Aircraft Engineer. After qualifying and spending a few years honing his skills, he realised aviation still had more to offer and so he continued his studies to become a Flight Engineer in 1998 where he operated aircraft such as Boeing 747s and Boeing 727s worldwide for almost a decade whilst pursuing his pilot’s licence. Gavin flew for many of South Africa’s major commercial airlines such as British Airways/Comair, Safair and Nationwide Airlines between 1999 and 2008. It was at Nationwide Airlines where Gavin gave instruction and redirected his career into Flight Operations and where his true passion was realised.
In 2008 Gavin joined ExecuJet’s Flight Operations Department as Aviation Services Manager and in 2009 became Flight Operations Manager. His wealth of knowledge allowed him to refine the processes and procedures in terms of the regulations and implemented a full aircraft dispatch procedure, a first for General Aviation in South Africa.
Within this role, Gavin’s primary focus was overseeing the safe and effective operation of ExecuJet South Africa’s extensive fleet of business jet aircraft. In addition, and thanks to his broad knowledge base, Gavin proactively got involved with supporting and growing ExecuJet’s FBO, Charter, and Managed Aircraft business through diligent and at times, out-of-the-box thinking.
Gavin’s inputs in Operations were solidified through his eagerness to nurture international relationships only made possible through his extensive travels. This ultimately led him into speaking twice at NBAA International Operators Conference, sharing his and ExecuJet’s experiences on several topics, a highlight being South Africa’s 2010 World Cup and ExecuJet’s memorable contribution in almost exclusively supporting Business Jets from around the world, thanks to Gavin’s FBO Team and fellow colleagues.
Gavin is also on the Board of Directors for the African Business Aviation Association (AfBAA), as well as Commercial Aviation Association Southern Africa (CAASA).
In 2014 he was promoted to Flight Operations Director - in Africa and shortly thereafter Director of Aviation for Africa.
In November 2017 Gavin was promoted to Vice President of Africa, a role that he holds with pride and fulfills to the best of his abilities every day.
Following the reopening of ExecuJet’s Aircraft Sales Division, Gavin was recently appointed as the President of Aircraft Sales and Transactions.

Regional FBO Manager - Africa
From an architectural studies background, Lawrence was introduced to the aviation industry in 2009.
He joined Qatar Airways in March of 2009 as cabin crew where he fell in love with the aviation and customer service/experience industry. He worked as a crew for almost 9 years, working himself up through the ranks.
In 2017 he returned to South Africa and settled down in Cape Town where he married the love of his life and was blessed with 2 beautiful children. In 2018 he joined ExecuJet Cape Town as a flight administrator and was introduced to the business aviation industry. Through hard work and determination, being goal driven, and his attention to detail, he got promoted to the FBO Supervisor position. With his passion for customer experience and aviation, he played a role in running a successful FBO under the management of Mr. Philip Du Preez, who he learned a lot from.
During his time at ExecuJet in Cape Town, he gained more knowledge and experience in dealing with clients, aircraft owners, crew, and industry colleagues and how to manage a team to ensure successful operation. As a result, in 2022 Lawrence was promoted to FBO Manager for the Africa region. This meant that he had to relocate to his hometown of Johannesburg to the Lanseria FBO.
FBO Manager - Cape Town
Albert Mouton was introduced to aircraft at an early age and as a result, developed a passion for aviation that rivals turboprop engines in both intensity and power.
Albert started his flight training at the age of 17 and obtained his SACAA private pilot license shortly thereafter. Over the past 8 years, he has filled roles in most general and business aviation.
In 2016 Albert joined Signature Aviation, learning all the basics of business aviation and fixed based operations. In 2019 Albert was coordinating flight operations for the Absolute Aviation Group - Cape Town, gaining experience across charter services, flight operations and ground operations.
In 2022 Albert joined ExecuJet’s Flight Operations Department as FBO Supervisor – Cape Town. Following his excellent performance, he was promoted in 2023 to FBO Manager – Cape Town.
His passion for aviation is equalled by his appreciation for the people with whom he interacts in the industry – from aircraft owners to business leaders and his fellow dynamic team.
