The partners revealed the news during the inauguration ceremony of RUAG's completely remodelled and well established Geneva FBO. Both partners see important benefits of the partnership as ExecuJet will be present in Geneva, one of Europe's dominant business airports, while RUAG gains access to ExecuJet's well established FBO network.

One of the longest established FBOs in Switzerland (historically since 1958), RUAG's 280 sqm sized facility currently handles more than 6000 movements per year; with a capacity to handle peaks of up to 80 movements per day. The facility offers a discreet environment for clients on the North side of Geneva Airport with a dedicated ramp offering a convenient and private atmosphere for arriving and departing flights. The full service FBO also provides clients with VIP ground transportation, concierge services as well as PPR, de-icing and fuelling.

RUAG has been based at Geneva airport since 2008 and has now chosen to enlist the FBO network of ExecuJet. "The opportunity to team up with ExecuJet - a well established player in the FBO world makes a lot of sense for us," said Michael Sattler, Vice President Business Aviation, RUAG Aviation; "the FBO service sector has gained strategic importance and we were looking for teaming in with a leading FBO network". ExecuJet has been running its Zurich FBO for 11 years, together with 9 further European facilities.

ExecuJet's decision to partner with RUAG enables the company to expand their FBO services within Europe. The facility in Geneva currently offers a dedicated pilot lounge and several VIP lounges for passengers and has undergone a full refurbishment. ExecuJet will also adopt the dedicated and enhanced FBO One software at the Geneva facility to enable the company to share data across the ExecuJet FBOs and further improve customer service.

The cooperation allows the two companies to share resources and know-how to create an FBO that offers the worldwide standards and expertise of ExecuJets current FBOs. With the RUAG Maintenance facilities located adjacent to the FBO and fully qualified to support Falcon, Pilatus PC-12 and other aircraft, at a total of 39 different variants, the two companies will further be able to offer a one stop service for clients and the aircraft they manage.

"We are delighted to be entering this partnership with RUAG", said ExecuJet Europe Managing Director Cedric Migeon. "There is a lot of synergy within our businesses. It has long been our plan to expand our FBO presence in Western Europe and this is a terrific opportunity for both companies." Nicole Gut, Director of ExecuJet's European FBOs, will oversee the transition and FBO alongside RUAGs General Manager Geneva, Bernd Heinrich, who assumes also overall responsibilities for RUAG's adjacent maintenance facilities.

ExecuJet currently operates a managed fleet of over 50 aircraft in Europe and has added 6 aircraft based in Geneva during the past 2 years.
